Friend Skoler Announces Investment in Hex Performance LLC

SADDLE BROOK, NEW JERSEY, April 2017 -- Friend Skoler & Co., LLC, a private equity firm that invests in leading companies in the smaller end of the middle market, has completed a growth capital investment in Hex Performance LLC ("Hex").
 
Founded in 2013 by professional lacrosse athlete, Drew Westervelt, Hex is a manufacturer and marketer of advanced laundry detergent and related products especially formulated to clean synthetic fabrics more effectively than leading detergents.  In addition, the Company’s products provide long-lasting fabric protection, reduce odor-causing bacteria in clothing, and are eco-friendly.  Hex’s products are sold primarily to grocery, mass merchant, and online retailers in the U.S.  The Company is led by Jay Contessa and Drew Westervelt.
